Spectrum PLA Metal Bronze is a specialized filament developed for creators who demand more than just "plastic" results. By infusing premium PLA with concentrated bronze particles, this material achieves a density and surface quality that closely mimics traditional cast bronze. The resulting prints possess a significant "heft" and a cold touch that is indistinguishable from real metal.
The Bronze variant provides a beautiful, muted metallic luster straight from the printer. However, its true magic is revealed during post-processing, where it can be sanded, buffed, and chemically aged to create a professional, museum-quality patina.
Unlike standard metallic-colored filaments, Spectrum PLA Metal contains real metallic content. This allows you to use steel wool or fine sandpaper to bring out a mirror-like shine, or use oxidizers to create a realistic "aged green" patina effect commonly seen on ancient statues.
