Spectrum ABS Kevlar
Aramid-Reinforced Strength | Ultra-Tough Black | 0.75kg Engineering Grade
Spectrum ABS Kevlar is a high-performance industrial filament engineered for parts that demand uncompromising durability and resilience. By infusing high-quality ABS with Kevlar (Aramid) fibers, Spectrum has created a material that excels where standard ABS fails.
The addition of aramid fibers significantly increases tensile strength while maintaining a low density, making it lighter than carbon-fiber reinforced alternatives. Crucially, ABS Kevlar is designed to absorb energy during impact, preventing the catastrophic shattering often seen in brittle plastics. This makes it the premier choice for functional components subjected to vibration, friction, and heavy kinetic stress.
Aramid fibers serve a dual purpose: they reinforce the structure and act as a shrinkage stabilizer. This results in an ABS material that prints with much higher dimensional accuracy and significantly less warping than standard ABS, allowing for the successful printing of large, complex industrial housings.
⚡ Extreme Impact Toughness
Aramid reinforcement provides a "soft-armor" effect, allowing parts to withstand high-energy impacts without breaking.
🛠️ Reduced Warpage
Advanced fiber integration stabilizes the polymer matrix, making it easier to print large parts compared to standard ABS.
📉 Low Density & Weight
Kevlar fibers provide strength-to-weight ratios that are ideal for aerospace, drone, and automotive applications.
🧱 Tactical Matte Surface
Delivers an aesthetic, non-reflective black finish that naturally masks layer lines and resists surface scratches.

* Hardware Advisory: While aramid fibers are less abrasive than carbon or glass fibers, we still recommend using a hardened steel nozzle for prolonged use to maintain extrusion precision over time.
